I am new to this forum, but there is something that is sort of bothering me already...I keep seeing the SAME NAMES of groups or artists or songs over and over and over and over...

Trust me, I love Pink Floyd. I love 2Pac. I love Phish and Marley, and most of the stuff that people repetitously write about. But, for crying out loud, bring some other music into the forum!! How many times do we need to read that someone thinks Dark Side of the Moon is a f-ing trip?!? I mean, there are tons of other artists (even mainstream, cliched groups) that don't get enough attention here: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alman Brothers, too much hip hop to mention, any Jazz/Swing/Etc.

Again, I don't disagree with anyone's posts, and i enjoy reading them all, but people, i beg you!! Give a listen to some varied music. Try soundtracks to start--they provide a great mix of (often) high quality music...I suggest the Swingers soundtrack, Super Troopers soundtrack, and the soundtrack to Grosse Point Blank to start.

I'd love to hear some favorites that people listen to that AREN'T ALREADY LISTED many times. I too want to expand my music library, and hopefully all of you can help!

I've listened to a huge variety music. I've gone through phases where i'd listen to jpop (that's japanese pop), to hip hop, to rap, to electronica/techno, to metal, back to electronica, to old stuff (zeppelin, floyd, etc..), and on and on....

In all the music i've ever listened to, I can honostly say there's one band I put above all the rest.

mm....jpop?.....that can be some weird stuff fomr what i have seen....I agree with pufferfish, but then again im a huge Pac fan...., maybe this wil start something
