Anybody here into David Bowie? I have been downloading older songs of his like crazy lately. It all started when I saw a skateboarding video (Flip "Sorry" during Arto Saari's part) with 2 songs of his in it. Can't go wrong with "Rock n' Roll Suicide".

Especially the older Bowie tunes. 'Rock & Roll Suicide' & 'Letter to Hermione' have driven me to tears with the emotion!

Well, didn't really meet him, but I sold him some ice cream. I heard he wanted to go un noticed, but with that white hair and all the security guards around him, kinda hard to miss. He was not the most pleasent person I have ever met, kinda rude actually. Heard others working at six flags say the same thing.

Speaking of Bowie, I heard on the radio today that Avril Lavagne (or however you spell her name) pronounced his name wrong on some recent award show. I think it was the grammys, if indeed they have already taken place, not like anyone gives two craps about the crappy music they pick to give grammys to!

Anyway, she pronounced it David Bow(like take a bow)-ee. She was even unapologetic about it backstage, like she couldn't care less. It's sad that people like that are on the pop charts. Whatever happened to the good 'ol days.

i highly dislike Avril, i have my reasons. Most stories I've heard, Bowies usually seems a nice guy. perhaps he was just cranky that day.

no diss to bowie, i've got respect for the guy...

...but i saw him on tv a couple weeks ago and he looked exactly like martha stewart. it was scary.

yah that ***** mispronounced here name, it was a disgrace to music. He is doing an awesome tour here in NYC, he is doing an all small venue tour. He is playing at a club one of my friends played at.
