Default Meat Puppets

HAs anyone ever heard this band on these boards. They are an amazing indie rock band that started out in the early eighties and they really influenced nirvana and such and on the album "up on the sun", the singer curt kirkwood sounds like a replica of the later to exist kurt cobain, who notes meat puppets as one of his main influences.....
the album meat puppets 2 is the on before up on the sun and is incredible it includes the songs plateau, oh me and lake of fire which nirvana fans know were covered by nirvana during their mtv unplugged
check them out

i remeber these guys from the 80's to. i didn't listen to them much back then, i was more into black flag, husker du back then. but their 'too high to die' cd is good. i figured they'd be dead by now with the shows they used to do back then.

Actullay Curt Kirkwood, the bassist from nirvana, and the drummer from sublime formed a new band. I forgot their name, but i saw them play at a music festival they were pretty good.
