Has it ever struck you the amount of musicians on drugs.
Alot of them on weed, some of the most influential musician and groups are on weed amongst ther things

marley, hendrix, cobain, lennon, morrison, joplin, tool, deftones, just to name a few, and this is only the rock genre

weed+musicians=good music

I think it would be hard not to do drugs if you were a musician, seriously. Your job is to write music and perform it. And those things are much better when on drugs. You don't have to worry about typing up a report for your boss, or preparing a presentation, or deal with heavy machinery. It would be so awesome.

Roger Waters(Pink Floyd) was using marijuana heavly during the Darkside Of the Moon era but supprisingly he was the only one who was really into it

True, Ozzy made some great stuff in his mass drug years, and I cant imagine not turning to drugs after some of the **** he went through. Nowday's hes still somewhat coherant, but shakes, and slurs, and has obvious long term side effects of all those hard drugs. His last album wasn't too bad, not his best, he's done alot of albums and songs with other artists, and his no care, psycho freedom loving attitude leaves me satisfied. When Black Sabbath booted him he went on to make some of his best stuff.
