Has anyone heard/of this group? It was formed by two ex-members of the former band At the Drive-In. There are a total of 6 members in the Mars Volta.

(The other three ex-members of ATDI went on to form the band Sparta.)

Anyway, the Mars Volta's single album out, Tremulant, is one that I love. The music is out there, and yet it is addicting. Some parts are pretty trippy, and the musical integrity of the disc is superior to that of most rock albums out now.

Anyway, check them out if you haven't already - For any rock fans(and especially those who are fans of At the Drive-In and Sparta), you will not be let down.

Tremulant cost me 7 bucks. 3 songs, total of 20 minutes of great music. Dont let the length deter you from buying the album, though: You dont notice the disc to be any shorter than a standard 12 track album.

I should also add that a band they previously toured with, Radio Vago - is very good also. They are from LA.
