Default Aphex Twin?

Anyone digs aphex twin? What's their best songs, in your opinion?

Also, I'm kinda new to this kindof music... I have always been a die hard classic rock type chick, but now it feels like time to expand my horizons, so! What else is as good as Aphex Twin?

well my favorite of Aphex Twin is "Selected Works of 85-92", i cant really pick out a favorite song, i'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing, depends on how you look at it.

for others such as Aphex Twin, check out Klaus Schulze, Jean Michel Jarre, Soulo, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Harmonia 76, Harold Budd, Tangerine Dream, Orb, Future sound of the London, Kraftwerk, Roger Eno, Toriko Turjiko, John Cage, Jean Luc Pierre, Conrad Schnitzler, Pierre Schaeffer, Jean-Jacques Perrey, Pierre Henry, Perrey-Kingsley, Neu!, Tomita, Kitaro, Wendy Carlos, Safety Scissors, Elektric Music, thats for ambient style, more like kraut rock, and some are IDM. some others are considered new age, space rock, moog, etc. in the end, they're all very experiemental, electronic, chill out, ambient, minimal style.

well, enjoy

later

My fav. Aphex Twin track would probably be Polynomial-N (although i'm not sure if it's "n", but it's some letter).

For some reason I get the picture of someone standing on a high, misty peak, and in the distance there's a giant eagle slowly flapping its wings flying towards the peak, and reaches the person and they fly off when the beat kicks in. Hah.

it's Polynomial-C from 'Classics'

the video with the children is 'Come to Daddy'..the Windowlicker vid is the one with the huge white limo and dancing. The single is the one where his face on the chick.

good albums by Aphex Twin are IMO... I care beacause you do, Selected Ambient Works 85-92, Selected Ambient Works Vol. II and Drukqs. Other artists that have similar music are Squarepusher (more jazzier), µ-Ziq and Venetian Snares (hard n sick breakcore).

Default WOW.

a chick who listens to classic rock and apex, your a rare breed. i like alot of remixed apex songs because they are less crazy and have a more recognizable rhythm. Although i love the origionals, i really have to be in the mood, or in no mood at all to listen to apex for a while. i suggest looking up producers who remixed apex's stuff if your looking for more music along thoes lines.
