Default Led Zepplin DVD

what else can i really say about this dvd. its almost orgasmic for me to whatch this. i just resently got into led zepplin at around christmas time while hanging out with my hippie cousin and have fell in love with the band ever since. so this dvd is a holy grail for me. this is probably the best perchace i've ever made (beside my weekly 1/4 )

I beg any one who has ever had a slight interest in led zeppelin or classic rock to go out and buy this dvd. The energy captured in these live performances is staggering. Plant screams with the soul of a whole gospel choir. Bonham plays his drums like he's having a very rhythmic seizure. Page's guitar playing is well above perfection. and Jones somehow keeps every one of them from flying into the stratosphere.

so what's everybody else's opinion

I was planning on that being my next dvd purchase. Good to hear that it's superb & excellent & all that!
I figured the 1972 performances are gonna kick some serious butt. I just love live dvd's.... better than cd quality sound & visuals to boot.
I really don't play much Zep, hardly ever, but I'm looking forward to this dvd. Probably will get it next week.

You guys most be huge fans, considering none of you have spelled the band's name correctly.

Just came back from trying to purchase it, it was sold out at Best Buy and Target. I guess I will buy it off of bestbuy.com. Free shipping rocks. So does Zeppelin.

Yeah I saw the dvd in Target earlier this week and was tempted to buy it, but decided against it because of exams this coming week and my need to study for them. Thursday after my last exam I plan on buying the dvd and a quarter, now i just need to get some money..

This new Led Zeppelin DVD is great, as well as "How the West Was Won". The DVD definetly has better sound quality than "The Song Remains the Same", released in 1973, which was really only one concert(and if you listen and look closely, you'll notice that Robert Plant is piss drunk). But yes, it is a good DVD, and finally does the media shy band justice after 35 years.

For those of you not familiar with Led Zeppelin let me give you a little history, and maybe you will go out and pick up some of thier music, which is HIGHly reccomended. In 1968, Led Zeppelin was formed by John Bonham (percussion), and Jimmy Page(guitar). Later, they picked up Robert Plant (vocals/harmonica), and with him John Paul Jones(BASS!!!!!!!!!, organ, keyboards, mandolin). Later that year, they realeased Led Zeppelin, thier first album. It was a huge hit, and the band was a success overnight, at the supple age of roughly 19 years old. Then, again in 1968, or 69, i forget which, they released Led Zeppelin II, which cemented them as rock legends, with famed tunes as Whole Lotta Love, The LEmon song (the most underapreciated song in history, i think, Jones does awesome basswork, with one of the best non wooten, non pastorius bass solos ever), bring it on home, etc. They continued to release huge hits and awesome albums, and toured feverishly, the US and UK. Then, in 1980, (John Lennon?...) John Bomham died of alcohol poisoning or vomit drowning something alcohol related. They are a sweet band, check out this DVD now.
