Default floyd question

Does anyone else get freaked out by some of floyd's songs? I was never scared enough during a song to shut it off but a few hours ago my friend and I were listening to it my my car and he had to shut the thing off because he was so damn freaked out. Anyone else feel the same way?

LOL, yes. My screen name here is a play off my favorite pink floyd song. The intro to 'Time" is extremely trippy and scary. I was just chiling on my bed one night (I was pretty baked), Listening to Floyd through my headphones. Right as I was about to drift off to sleep, "time" came on...when all the clock noises kicked in, I jumped right the f*ck outta bed and nearly Sh*t my pants. Some of his stuff can be great, and other times it can ruin your high. Enjoy man Later

Default Dark side of Oz

I just read this in Rolling Stone- it may be a well known stoner fact, but I don't crawl out from under my rock too often:
Cue up Darkside. Turn on the film' The Wizard of Oz', sound off.
( the best way to watch some tv,)
You get a perfect soundtrack...
Like the tornado scene lasts the exact duration of
Great Gig in The Sky...heh...
other flicks that do this....
Titanic
Ship hits iceberg at the big loud crescendo of Geat Gig...
(apollo 13, Matrix and Good fellas, also make a perfect soundtrack)
(may 15th edition Rolling Stone(er) magazine.)

Hey Smokalicious have your friend watch "the wall" movie he'd probably pass out. That stuff is pretty scary, of course you have to be stoned. I am a hudge floyd fan i acually made a site (www.angelfire.com/bc3/pfloyd) i have found only the wall movie to scare me at all and only being really really high and seeing it my first time.

p.s. 100th post!!!!!

I don't know why it would freak you out I love floyd there music just relaxes me. Awsome when just chilling and stoned.

There are so many weird songs I don't know where to begine but I'm a big fan of jugband blues. and alot of the other stuff from cid barretts days.

I have yet to see the wizard of oz thing though.

The first time me and my friend saw the wall we were a little on the a-side and once the guy flipped out in his hotel room and that song was playing i forget i no the song but i forget the name is it run like hell? well anyway we both just felt like we were going insane too and had to shut the movie off before we flipped out too.
good times good times.

Default Trippy Floyd stuff

Anyone ever listened to the track "Sheep" off of Floyd's "Animals" disc? It's pretty trippy, especially when the voices come on. For the longest time I thought they were electronic voices, but in actuality there are many voices speaking simutaneously. It's pretty bad ass. Oh yeah, and the song Bike is trippy too, if you listen to it on Relics.
