both.

but i also like jazz, funk, reggae, and many other styles. Rock and Rap aren't the only styles of music that exist.

I like either rock or rap but I HATE it when the two are combined! I just think that it sounds so stupid, but thats just me.

Rock all the way. Rap "music" is the only genre I really can't stand. The vasy majority of rap lyrics are about guns, hoes, liqour, blunts, and various other drugs. Its so repetitive and unoriginal. Booo rap.

YES, exactly what i was going to say. choose the best of both worlds, for both genres have excellent varieties and choices. i like that abstract/deep type of rap with the really smooth flows (living legends, blackalicious, atmosphere, etc). there are many types of rock that sound good, especially when blazed. progressive/mellow, a little metal, and classic are my favorite types of rock. i hate anything that remotely resembles the two trying to be fused... just my opinion. some of you need to stop being so closed-minded towards rap though.

the vast majority of hip hop/rap music does not consist of lyrics about guns, violence etc. that shows that you have not searched outside of the mainstream and listened to many of the quality acts that exist. however, for me, rock is also the way to go out of the two

but overall id say listen to some reggae music

Damn p-nut you truly are enlightened. I was suprised by the fact that you chose rock after making that statement about rap.

Testing....

Ok cool, i couldnt just add a poll to your thread so i made a new thread with the poll options you wanted and just merged the two and it actually worked! I think i just hacked the cheaptalk matrix

Oh and when it comes down to it, Rock all the way.

Though i still LOVE rap music, rock has always been a part of my life and always comes first.

I would agree with you difinately if you are talking about the kind of limp bizkit ****e, but there are some people who do it well. Incubus uses a kind of rap style and still sounds pretty cool. Linkin park also did it really well on their first album, but thats just my opinion. A great kind of rap thing is "the streets", i dunno if americans will enjoy it cos its really english but they're cool. Its not really rap its kind of different, have a listen, i just bought the album recently, some of the first rap i've enjoyed in a while.

BTW how do you put a quote in bold and all with the "originally posted by ..." thing?
