| Earlier this year i had the privledge on attending a deftones concert. I have been a long time fan for a long time, and the energy of the concert totally blew me away. I didnt take any weed with me too the concert, but the guy i was waiing with next to me did, he pulled out a huge joint and got me nicely stoned just before they started playing. Then i heard about their new album. So a friend and i rolled a joint the size of a hot dog, it was huge, infact we were more intimidated than excited about smoking it. So the first time i listened to it we smoked the hot dog, and got blazed. Funny thing was we were so stoned, the music just became background noise, but it was great anyways. To me, deftones are beyond music, they are a mindest. Some people compare them to linkin park, korn and limp bizkit, and i totally disagree. Chino Moreno's lyrics are so abstract, you can have your own understanding of their songs. Their song 'digital bath' is about electrecution by toaster in a bath, yet it comes across as a very romantic song. Each album sounds totally different and progressive from their last. Thats my story.

| Yeah the deftones are the tight ish. Even though im a hardcore hiphop head. I remember that listening to them would just zone me out to another place. The song MX is probably my favorite song by them. Even though they have a bunch of great songs. I remember reading the inside jacket of adrenaline and it said "Lyrics written by "___" and had someones name.. I was like WTF and dissapointed that they werent chino's own words.. but i could be wrong.. |

| When I was younger I would listen to their cd with the song with Maynard from Tool (best song) all day long and play Diablo 2. Too bad, now I can't hear any of the songs without thinking of the game and remembering certain parts in the game that I was at when one of the songs would play. Still a good cd. Maybe I'll pick up the new cd |
