Politicians sport dark blue ties

to match the depth of their sly cries

gray suites that coincide

carrying money clips to emulate their tight lipped "I love America" bit

all toddle arrogantly through polished wood grain doors; fallacy galore

Politicians walk as their burnished shoes control the way;
that American flag pinned to their collar adds more truth to what
they say: "The war goes on and we are winning."

The war goes on aside from our continued sinning.

There's an ominous master plan that's out of our hands regarded righteous but damned.

Politicians seize their seats in more ways than one and the technique they exhibit is second to none.

Strategically planning every self-serving brick they lay.

Those distinguished glasses distend further truth to what they say: "We seek peace. We strive for peace. And sometimes peace must be defended."

We seek peace. We strive for peace. And sometimes peace must be pretended.

"We seek peace..." In a world where sovereignty is more important than poverty

where technology overshadows lobbying and the rocketing cost of college seems to deliberately hamper your studying.

Digging your own grave as society drowns in debt, they plant flowers on top -make it seem well kept.

Politicians encrusted, amid soiled sentences and polluted paraphrases, "preach" to our children, speech so crooked they need a set of braces.

Do as I say and not as I do, because if you do as I do you`ll be incarcerated and sewed.

Politicians with noses in the air and heads held high cognizant of the prices we pay and corrupt laws we abide by.

Politicians recline as our country decays. That patriotic tie adds more truth to what they say: "If this is not evil, then evil has no meaning"

If this is not evil, then whom are we deeming? If this is not evil, quietly, we are the meaning.

Paying tribute to a New World Order where social systems are placed and democracy appropriates a new face

Welcome to a new era to which we all have been cordially invited, the President`s State of the Union address is where these quotes have been cited.

We all control our fate, to that we hold the keys. But here`s another quote to cautiously heed: "Different threats require different strategies."
