| Darwinbird: I just downloaded Perfect Circle-Wake the Dead....Damn that song is cool!! thats just the kind of stuff I'm into.....acoustic fingerpicking songs like that are great. I'm definately going to look for it, but if you have already found a good tab I'd appreciate the site. Thanks! |

| You're right, it is an addiction. Some songs you just can't quit playing. My list: Led Zeppelin - Over the Hills and Far Away, Going to California, Bron-yr-aur, and of course, Stairway to Heaven Jimi Hendrix Experience - Hey joe, Purple Haze, Wind Cries Mary Nirvana (easy, and fun to play) - Pennyroyal Tea, About a Girl, Love Buzz, School I also enjoy playing Leadbelly's "Where Did you Sleep Last Night?" whenever a 12-string is available.

Happy to help.Acctually, one of my students suggested it to me. He brought in the cd, with the tabs, becasue he wanted me to teach him how to play it. I know a few good tab sites though, I'll run some searches, see what i can some up with. | |

| I never did learn Black Dog....I know tons of Zeppelin, can play more than half their songs, but I never did learn that one. Also a kick-ass song to learn that I don't think has been mentioned is Black Mountain Side. Damn that song is tricky though. A few more that come to mind now are: Clapton: Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out (look this one up if you like the blues. its easy and sounds great) Metallica: The Call of Ktulu Dave Matthews: Grace is Gone and Say Goodbye Beatles: Norweigan Wood For those of who know Bron-Yr-Aur, here's a little something I like to do. Zep's "Poor Tom" uses the same tuning, so if you learn that, you can tune for it and then once your finished Poor Tom you can kind of casually blend it into Bron-Yr-Aur. When playing infront of people, I find if you change tunings they always expect something great. And admit...Bron-Yr-Aur is a very impressive sounding song to play....I just find if you move into it casually from another song like Poor Tom all your listeners are just a little more surprised A few more great Zeppelin tunes to learn are: That's the Way, Black Country Woman, The Rain Song (girls dig this song from my experience), Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, and even thoug I've already said it, "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You." <---That is my absolute favourite song to play. ![]()
