I'm going to Montreal for a Dave Matthews Band concert at the Bell Centre in September. It's my first major concert and I was wondering...My friends and I all got seated tickets because the floor was sold out. What is the security usually like at these things? Will it be possible to sneak our way on to the floor or are there goons checking tickets all over the place?? Thanks!

Depending on what type of venue it is.... I would say just leap over any wall separating you and the floor onto the other people and body surf till you get let down. LOL.. That's the way I saw Rage Against the machine live....Sweet...

I went to a tool concert last fall. We had bought tickets late and were seated in the upper deck. We made it down to the floor within 15 minutes.

So no, concert security is not that tight

BTW, they do pat you down, so sneak pot in some other way.

Yah you can try jumping the railing or whatever and making a mad dash, but you gotta do right at the begining of the show, thats when the timing is perfect... because everyone stands up and starts starts cheering and its easiest to make an escape then... Usually if you do get caught they'll just grab you and drag your butt outta the seats and back to the lawn. Or you can just do the easier thing and have your friends go up and take their seats then send one person back with the stubs and just get in that way... its far easier and less dangerous, but you dont get that thrill of making the mad dash for the front.

all concerts i've been to like that in an arena is very hard to get into.

there is security a plenty surrounding the whole thing.

they will tackle you and kick you out.

organise a massive rush with a bunch of people, and hope you arent one of the ones who gets tackled.
