Atlanta has like every kind of music on the radio. It is awesome, I can listen to every type of music pretty much when ever I want. It is great I can always find reggae on the radio. Is anyone elses city like this?

there's 6 major stations in vancouver, and the other day 4 of them were playing rap....

including '104.9 the new "rock" alternative' and 99.3 the fox, which is theoretically rock too....

BBC Radio 1 is ok half of the time but thats national radio

the only good radio station from that is KISS FM

I havent got that much choice so i usually listen to music on my PC

Atlanta radio sucks. The only decent station is Album 88.5, which is Georgia State's student run radio station.

They don't play any mainstream rock bands and they play a wide variety of genre's in addition to rock. Everything from reggae, hip hop, ska, metal, jazz and blues, country, rap, electronica, etc...

every station down here is owned by the same company, and they all have the same playlists. everyone i know stopped listening to the radio a while ago

i stopped listening to radio years ago, most mainstream music is complete **** nowadays

The stations I listen to aren't mainstream. I listen to 88.5, which bongload described well. I also listen to 89.3 which has great reggae on saturdays. 91.1 I think is GATech's station, good music too. 91.9 Clark Atlanta's station. Plays great jazz and reggae. If i feel more mainstream I listen to 96rock, a clearchannel station, that plays good rock, not this new pop punk sh*t. Just because a lot of radi stations are mainstream, which normally mean they suck there are good ones, you just have to give it a chance.
