Yeah Ive considered that option and dubbed it to be my last, because those usually do NOT work and i don't feel like spending 50 on a fake id, 25 on a ticket, and another 20 ish getting there, and of course 349083498934 on bud just to find out that my id doesnt friggin work and I have to go home.

just augment your current ID, it's soo simple you wouldn't believe

the most important thing is that your "new age" is BELIEVABLE given your appearance

look at your birth date and find one number that you can change that will make you old enough (most likely the year). the least amount of work you have to do, the better. for example, changing a 9 to a 4 is MUCH easier than changing a 9 to a 2, and it will look better

ok, so what you do is take an exacto knife (a razor blade will work, but an exacto knife is a lot easier) and CAREFULLY cut the laminant off the number you need to change. make sure not to cut the actual ID, just the plastic laminant

now take a sewing needle or pin (or something with a VERY skinny end, but the sharp end of the needle/pin is a big help), get a VERY LITTLE amount of white out on the end of the pin, and white out the parts of the number you need. it is imperative that you do this slowly, otherwise it will be sloppy & obviously fake

clean off the needle and dip it in black ink, and again, slowly form the number you need to. this part HAS to look perfect - there is no room for error. but, if you do make an error, do not smudge it. finish with the rest, let it dry, and white out the mistake

finally, if the piece of the laminant you cut out came out in one piece, take a bit of clear nail polish, put a SMALL amount over the augmented number, and place the cut out plastic back in. if the plastic is sticking out AT ALL, you'll want to just take it out, and SLOWLY make the surface of the ID flush again w/ clear nail polish. put a small amount over the number, let it dry, and repeat

when done, if the clear nail polish reflects the light differently than the laminant, rough up the entire ID a bit until it isn't noticable

if you do it carefully, no one will be able to tell the difference

i've heard of people being able to get the ID out of the laminant, and then re-laminate it, but it seems to me like it'd be INCREDIBLY harder to do than the above-mentioned method
