Last emperor (new cd is amzing)
dilated peoples (ok)
2pac (has some really good stuff)

Nappy roots
Outkast (new cd andre is incredible, not rap tho)
nas (check out lost tapes)

if i can think of more ill post, check them out, most stray away from the gangsta rap image in most tracks

eminem is one of my favorite artists but some of his stuff is too violent, and as far as i enjoy it, i dont think he belongs on that list, cause all of those people mostly rap about like the world and politics, kinda, and he mostly raps about his wife and kid... but he has some incredible songs, lose yourself...
