Rightnow im trying to learn to play the guitar, and im in need of some really easy acoustic songs lol. Ive already got, mario underground, merry had a little lamb, happy birthday and jingle bells lol but im looking for some easy songs that arent stupid. Im trying to learn time of your life by green day but i cant make it sound the same

bad tab mabey, it the only oen with just picking though lol.

Anyone got any ideas?

Bah, sad thing is most of thast alll too hard for me lol. And unfortunatly almost all the sublime stuff is chords

Tabs for "Ariels - system of a down" are very easy. That song was one of the first I learned. "Seven nation army - The White stripes" is very easy and fun to play also. Tabcrawlerdotcom is a good place to look for these songs, just use the search toolbar at the top righthand corner of the webpage. Ariels is all on the E string which makes it easy. Seven nation army and Wish you were here take a little more practice if you're just learning guitar.

Im assuming that you have already learned to read tabs, if not just look up on google or yahoo "free guitar lessons" or somthing close to that and it will teach you how to read them.

Ya, for the most part i know how to read tab. I usually use mxtabs.net, tonnes there. Im gonna check out the tabcrawler too

If you are looking for easy stuff, you should check out some Bob Dylan. Most of his songs use very basic chords. I think you should give 'wish you were here' a shot, that song is much easier than time of your life. I'll probably post again when I think of more.

One acoustic song that is fairly easy to learn is "is there anybody out there" from Pink Floyd the wall. Its mainly based on a A minor that is arpeggiated. You mainly only have to reposition 1 finger for most of the changes. Its a simple yet elegant song to learn.
