| I was wondering what everyone uses here to play music on their computer? I was a devout winamp fan for about 2 years, untill Apple introduced itunes for the PC. I've used itunes extensivly on the macintosh platform, and found that some of the features (importing into mp3 and burning for free) along with the search window that gives realtime results makes it the best player for me... I have 3473 songs just in the library, not including the 150 CDs I have in a huge case in my car. itunes seems to handle all the files just fine, even though the files are on an external hard drive. No preformance issues. I like how itunes has everything in one window. Instead of having 3-4 floating seperate windows, I only have one...for some this may seem annoying, but I actually like it. If anyone has any other players that are worth checking out, let me know...I like itunes, and would encourage anyone who has a ton of music to check it out...I like it better than winamp.

| I use something that came with Kazaa called BSplayer. But I mostly burn my music on to cds and just use my boombox anyway.

| I like winamp for a few reasons: 1. Memory footprint...(it uses very little resources) 2. Skinable (good skins are available) 3. Visualizations (Milkdrop is amazing!) 4. Stability However, I don't like the playlist setup...and winamp isn't to great for very, very large media libraries. Winamp is great for small playlists. I dislike musicmatch's option where you click on a file and it just adds it to the playlist. If I click on somthing, I want to hear it! |
