Between those two, I would pick Physical Graffiti. Don't get me wrong, IV is a fantastic album but half the songs on it have been beaten to death by every radio station on the continent.

However I still stick by my original recommendation, that being their first album.

I'd still suggest Physical Graffiti over Zeppelin IV, mainly because it is a double CD so you get way more songs. Also on Physical Graffiti they are much more experimental and try out a lot of different styles. Either way you are getting a grade A +++ album , it's really a win-win situation. Good to hear that you are interested in discovering the magic of Led Zeppelin.

Although Led Zeppelin IV and Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon are excellent, they're very overplayed on the radio. So much that I'm tired of a lot of those songs.

I'd go with some albums with great songs you'll rarely hear no the radio..

i never listen to the radio so i never have to worry about getting songs that are "overplayed" that is also reason i dont listen to the radio is so i can enjoy good music with hearing it so much.
