| holy **** this dvd kicks so much ass. its got the stones playing a short set at madison square garden, in the recording studio listening to their new produced songs, and headlining the altamont festival on their 1969 tour. it also has some commentary from mick and the drummer(name?). some other special features are radio discussions about what went wrong at the festival, hells angels personal experiences and a bunch of cool pictures of the tour. its a great dvd if your a fan of the stones and i suggest everyone watch it sometime. oh yea, altamont was a huge festival, over 100,000 people attended because it was free, and acts like jefferson airplane, crosby stills, nash and young, and the stones were going to play. the stones hired the hells angels to be security. the angels constantly fought with the crowd. there was a total of i think 10 deaths and lot of injuries. people say it was the end of the hippie era. |
