I just saw donny darko for the first time and i read the topics on it but noone mentioned the song mad world that they play at the end, i got very high today and just listening to the words and its a really great song.

Am i alone here? And while im making a totally pointlesspost yay for me for getting an avatar (heres the lyrics of the song if anyone cares)

I thought that movie was very over-rated. Personally, I thought the movie itself had an identity crisis..Drama? Sci-Fi? Satire? It kept changing and twisting upon itself making it obvious that even the directors/producers really kind of spaced on this production.

Watch the special features, scenes were cut out that totally made the movie actually make some sort of sense.

ALL my friends ranted and raved about this movie. I rented it with high hopes, and found that it was nothing more than an attempt at making a "higher thinking man's movie"...at which it failed miserably. If people out there get their rocks off analyizing somthing that really dosen't deserve analyizing so they can feel smart, and intelligent...then so be it I guess.

I enjoyed Christina Richi's "Pumpkin" much more (saw them the same weekend).

And yes, that song is actually quite good. There are multiple versions available.

That song was at number 1 for christmas day over here...in england....

and funnily enough a month ago, when i was high i was gonna post about the song....but i did'nt

anyways the songs got some really cool lyrics....very chilled out song...sorta reminds me of American Beauty.

heh im planning on buying the donny darko dvd(adn iv read the spoilers that was posted in a donny darko topic so i do uunderstand the actual movie) but i can't get the song outta my head for the past like... 3 days now lol

Bah...I was actually listening to that song kinda zoning out when i stumbled across this topic... WEEEIRD. My friend and I have been obsessivly listening to it every time we schmoke for the past two weeks.

how could you listen to that and smoke. that would be like taking acid and cutting your eyes out with a spoon. song is great, but still too depressing. i remember watching donnie darko in a loop for like a month straight, depressing times. tears for fear kick ass.
