Thumbs up Our Lady Peace

I was going through a bunch of my CDs today, and I happened upon their album "Clumsy." This is some really good music. I remember buying the album in like 1997 when their song "Superman's Dead" was pretty popular. I listened to the CD all the way through and every song was pretty good. If you haven't heard of them or have only heard a bit of them, I'd suggest delving into this album. The genre would most likely be alternative rock, but before it got all crappy and irritating.

There was one song on there that really hit me and made me feel like I knew it all along. It's called "4 AM" and it just blew my mind. The chorus goes something like, "If I don't make it, know that I've loved you all along. Just like the sunny days that we ignore because we're all dumb and jaded. And I hope to God I figure out what's wrong." It sounds like something I'd want played at my funeral. Anyways, it's some good stuff.

Other songs I'd reccomend you hear are definitely "Clumsy" and "Superman's Dead." Some of it is really deep, so if you're all about the b!tches and the bling-blingin' then I'd suggest you avoid this one... or go shoot yourself

Our Lady Peace are as good as alternative rock gets. There are not many groups you will hear on the radio that are better than these guys, plus they are one of Canada's relatively few groups that has had international success. I have respect for them because they're played here before, and there were definately places they could have sold way more tickets for so kudos to them.

OLP recordings are awesome. Some of their music is really powerful...as for their live performances, all i can say is I haven't yet been impressed. seems like 'rain' or reign or whatever his name is can't sing live.

I dig Our Lady Peace.

Clumsy ****ing owned but Happiness... and Spiritual Machines were great also.

It kinda sucked that they went with a more main stream album for Gravity especially after getting odder and cooler with Spiritual Machines.

Still one of my favourite bands.
