Thumbs up Chillout/Downtempo Music & Weed.....?

Does anyone here listen to Chillout/Downtempo when they are ?

I started about 6 months ago, and I enjoy it, kinda' relaxing but still has a nice beat. I'm not talking about New Age music here, there is a diff.
I mean like Nightmares On Wax, Thievery Corp., Morcheeba, etc.

If so, give me some other names I can check out, I'm interested! Nothing like a relaxing evening, some CD's you've already burned and a few bowls full.

Damn, that sounds like a gr8 plan for 2nite!

Sounds like good music but I've never heard of these bands. Can you post a link to their website?

That means coffee of the sea in spanish.
What kinds of bands are these? I like Bush - Glycerine, it is slow and good high.

http://www.downtempo.org/

This place is where I go to get the "latest" info. on Downtempo/Chillout. After that I can head over to SoulSeek and D/L until my heart's content.

Great thing about these artists aren't commercial artists like the Pop stars, but lots of people listen so there's always free music available.

Check out the Om Lounge mixes.. they have about 8 albums, they're all good..

Also check out DJ Cam, DJ Shadow, Dzihan and Kamin and Mark Farina's "Mushroom Jazz" Album..

Nothing tops Thievery Corp in my mind though.. They are the perfect music to spark to...

Morcheeba is great, you should see her collabo with Talib Kweli, I think it's called Let Me Know or something, but it's an awesome song to chill out to.
