| Yes, it is the question of the ages... of good music that is. Accepting that most contemporary music is uninspired and bastardized by corporations, let's try to remember the good times. These good times are more specifically the battle for the classic rock title. So who is it for you: The revolutionary heavy metal sound of Led Zeppelin or the timeless titans of blues rock that are the Rolling Stones? For me, it is the Stones. I have the utmost respect for everything Zeppelin did, but when it came to writing hit songs and presenting them with an insatiable rock attitude, the Stones take the cake. Not only have they been playing for almost half a century, but they just keep on kicking. Led Zeppelin poured alot of gorundbreaking work into their songs that sometimes come off as more of an experience than any sort of musical performance. It was a difficult decision, but I stand by it. I love Zeppelin, but the Stones just do more.

| Having just spent about 6 months learning guitar almost exclusively to play Led Zep songs, this was a pretty easy choice for me..

| I love both groups, but I like Zeppelin much more than the Stones. I don't really agree with using the term heavy metal to describe Zeppelin. They just really don't fit in with so many others bands that are 'heavy metal.' People wouldn't call the Stones heavy metal, and Zeppelin is actually not much 'heavier,' if any. Zeppelin's music is just so much more diverse, and they have done many wicked blues tunes of their own. Some of them are covers, but that doesn't take away from it musically. In my opinion the musical talents of the members of Led Zeppelin is much higher than anyone in the Stones. I think the songwriting of Zeppelin is much better than the Stones. The Stones do deserve a lot of respect because they're been rockin' for decades and still going strong. Also, I hate to admit this, but Jagger outdoes Plant when it comes to stage presence. Other than that....Zeppelin Rule!!!And Arsenal...I also live to play Led Zeppelin on guitar. ![]()

| Nobody has the combination of talented vocalist, bass/keyboard player, guitarist, or drummer PERIOD. To this day I don't think their has been a group packed so completely full of talent. I vote Led Zeppelin .Rolling Stones still rock though! |

| **** man tough question. I just bought Exile on Main Street and I've been listening to it nonstop, so I vote for the Stones. I like Mick Jaggers voice more than Robert Plant's. |

| The REAL question if you compare any band with Zeppelin is "Zeppelin or The Who" and I would still choose Zep even though The Who kick major rock ass. |
