mudvayne is pretty cool. korn's first few albums were alright. slipknot and disturbed do nothing for me. i listen to more classic metal (sabbath, maiden, manowar) and thrash (slayer, anthrax, megadeth) and some death (Death, Vital Remains) than nu-metal. although when it comes to popular stuff, i'm into some of the "metalcore" stuff that is starting to come up, like Shadow's Fall and especially, the band who will probably have one of the best albums of the year, Lamb of God.

I'm not a fan of new wave metal, but black sabbath is the ****. I might buy tickets to ozzfest just to see them play. I saw the band slipknot on jay leno last night, whats with the costumes? It was funny seeing the looks on 50-60 year old women after they got done playing. When I hear people screaming that much I just want to give them ajoint so they can chill the **** out.

I used to be a slipknot fan. I liked a couple mudvayne songs. I had the displeasure of previewing 3 of the new songs on the 3rd slipknot cd coming out in a week.. they were pretty bad. Corey Taylor was right when he said they couldn't do better than the first 2.

Korn on the other hand, I've continued to enjoy over the past 10 years. I will will agree that self titled, life is peachy and follow the leader are their best albums but I can still find a song or 2 I like on their newer releases. The biggest killer to korn's music is jon's weak vocabulary.

And if he can bring himself to approve of what is happening, he becomes "groovy." After that, with much luck and perseverance, he can rise to the rank of "cool." A cool guy... cool guy... cool guy...
