| I like electronica. I have a friend who's real into techno/trance an occasionally burns mixes for me, and I've downloaded some as well. What would be some good stuff to download? Kreo-burning for you, atb - beach vibes, and orbital-halcyon are probably my favorites.. |

| until you develop a 'taste' for it, electronica sounds just like noise. but once your in the zone its amazing, it grabs hold of your thoughts and emtions and takes them for a wild ride ![]() its very abstract too, so it forms its own meaning for most people. as opposed to an old guy in rockingchair strumming a banjo singing "ah lost my two front teeth and my girls a truck stop whore..." quite limiting as to where it can take u ![]() |

| Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Ian Van Dahl, give me any techno or trance and I like it. They use the most soothing and trippy sounds that put you into another dimension if you let it. If it is quiet and there is distraction it has less effect. One time my friend and I drove to a spot in the middle of the woods in an undeveloped house lot where there were only trees for miles. We smoked four bowls of good nugget and we were gone. We were looking for a CD to put in and I usually listen to hip/hop which is done electronically, so I have always liked that sound. I had recently installed in the most expensive rockford speakers that they had at ultimate electronics, and I have two rockford 12" subs in the back. I wanted something that does my system justice, I told him not to give me any of that Linkin Park ***** bull**** that he usually listens to or I would smack the **** outta him. He pulled out a Paul Van Dyk CD and The first track was: For an Angel. I immediately fell in love with the music because I used to listen to a lot of Fatboy Slim and Daft Punk and those sorts of Techno when I was younger. The music that he put in sounded so clean and amazing in my car that it just surrounded us and we sat in my car and listened to the entire album, I think it was a mix of Paul Van Dyk because I recognized a few songs like For an Angel. After the Cd was over he had a Paul Oakenfold mix that he put in. It had my now favorite song to be high to, Purple. Paul Oakenfold - Purple Get it. We listened to that entire CD and some other Trance/Techno and I loved it. We had to go to the gas station and fill up my tank because my alternator doesn't work well so I had to leave the car on the whole time. Anyways I recommend all Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold and any good trance/techno, if anyone has any artists who are as good as this, please tell me. I could e-mail a few songs to people if they want to hear some of it.
