If you get a chance, check out the Steve Vai: Live at the Astoria, London DVD. Anybody else see this? Its impossible to describe Steve Vai's style. Another great thing about this dvd is the rediculous faces he makes while he's soloing, it makes the dvd better because there's something to laugh at too.

I saw this for the first time while I was high and I couldn't blink the entire time, except to roll another joint and get lost in it again.

During one section of the dvd, he kills the lights, turns on fog machines, and puts on gloves with lasers on each fretting finger that point away from the neck while he plays.

Unfortunately, the dvd isn't nearly as good sober, but still a good watch if your a guitar player.
