Default Kyuss

Anyone here like kyuss? I'm a huge fan of all their stuff, and a lot of spinoffs from them including queens of the stone age and brant bjork's solo stuff. Anyway, I can't possibly be the only one on this board of stoners who loves listening to Kyuss baked out of their mind

ps, if you don't know who they are but like stoner rock/metal, check them out

Wow, Kyuss!!! I always forget about them... Saw them years ago w/ Rev. Horton Heat and White Zombie. Was hooked from that point on! I love finding their live stuff, from all their desert shows. Highly recommended for ANY type of rock fan.

I've gotten my hands on volumes 3-4, have heard a few of the others. I know there is over 10 of 'em now, and I will definitely get most if not all of them over time. Best description of what type of band they are would be that they are the Velvet Underground of stoner rock. Though I don't exactly love the term "stoner rock", the fact that they are a lot more respected and recognized now then when they were still active makes the V.U. description fit pretty well. Only time will tell, though...

I agree about the stoner rock thing, I just dont know what you'd call it otherwise though haha, I guess "desert rock" would work. but yeah, it seems like they're getting a lot more respect now, especially since josh homme has gotten into the mainstream
