| Dimebag Darrell, heavy metal icon and former member of Pantera and current member of Damage Plan was shot and killed last night during a concert in Columbus, Ohio. I don't know if any of you are or were at some point fans of his work, but i was. Senseless violence like this should have no place in our society. It just doesn't make sense. A talented musician, and 4 other people are DEAD because one person decided to go psycho. WHY???????? What was to be gained here? Anyway, i'm just rambling, so I'm going to end this post. My condolences go out to the victims families, and to all fans of Dimebag/Pantera/ Damage plan. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..... ![]()

| yes very upsetting news this. crazy f@#ks, what the hell was the point of it!! probably some crazy fan upset that pantera wasnt together and blaming it on the bro's... ahh makes me sick to think about this stupid sh#t... i did get to see pantera back in the 90's though which you know was really great... i wonder if phil and dimebag were on good terms or if phil regrets putting pantera on hold.... anyway a real tragedy and great loss.. dimebag just like to have fun and play great guitar... |

| kinda weird because my dad's g/f's son was at a Damageplan concert a few days before this happened, prolly D.D.'s last show. Damn that is sad, all because of some idiot who thought the guy should have stayed with Pantera...i wonder if the psycho thinks it was worth it, now that he's six feet under. ![]()

| It didn't really set in til the next day when I started to read about it in the Globe and the Herald newspapers. Seeing it on the news I felt my eyes well up a lil bit. I was fortunate enough to see Pantera in concert live. it was 2 or 3 concerts. Absolutely amazing show. ~~You see us comin’ And you all together run for cover We’re takin over this town Here we come reach for your gun And you better listen my friend, you see It’s been slow down below, Aimed at you we’re the cowboys from hell Deed is done again, we’ve won Ain’t talking no tall tales friend ’cause high noon, your doom Comin’ for you we’re the cowboys from hel.~~ The intro by Darrell in CFH sends chills down my spine. They played it as an encore in Lowell, MA a couple years ago. Flames everywhere. the floor was moving. I've never seen so much energy at a concert. Rest in Peace Darrell Thanks for the music. |
