Exclamation Zooma Tour and the Big Summer Classic

There are two tours I have to HAVE TO hit up this year.

First off is the Zooma tour. http://www.zoomatour.com/main.htm

Trey (from Phish) and Ben harper will be headlining the tour with several other bands (GREAT BANDS) filling the gaps.

The artists featured so far are Jurassic 5, Medeski Martin & Wood, Galatic, Gomez, G. Love and Special Sauce, The Black Keys, Toots and the Maytals, and with many more to come.

They hit up 28 venues, so if you are even thinking about checking a concert out, DO IT! You won't be dissapointed.

This is by far some the greatest news I heard this summer. That list alone includes 5 of my favorite artists.

Next up we have the Big Summer classic. http://www.bigsummerclassic.com/

String Cheese is headlining this show with many other very talented bands.

Keller Willaims (****ing amazing), Umphrey's Megee (again ****ing amazing), Yonder Mountian String Band, New Monsoon, and Micheal Franti and Spearhead.

They hit up basically every place known to man so go! I've been to a couple Cheese concerts, as well as some umphrey's and I most say, they are amazing. I expect a huuuuuuuuuggggge following for this tour, ones that may rival those of the dead (hmmm maybe not).

I'm already planning to get wasted (not exactly drunk if you catch my drift) and check out these shows. Should reach epicle proportions.

Seriously, if you even slightly consider yourself a nug head GO! You'll be very pleased with yourself.

i love phish dearly but idk.. ben harper?????... and the rest of the bands suck at the show in my home town venue , the tweeter center in MA (formerly great woods) (i would DEF go if medeski was there). i already have my tickets for the big summer classic there however and am mad excited (as well as seeing that tour when it hits up the All Good festival )

if trey blows me away at bonnaroo i might see zooma but as of now im thinking not.. soo much more expensive than the big summer classic too

have fun man tho, im sure you will

Have you ever seen Ben Harper live? If not, I'd say give it a shot. I have 3 of his albums that I pretty much never listen to, but I have seen him live probably 12 or 13 times. MUCH better live act. Actually, his album Live From Mars is a good one to listen to to get a feel for his show. He doesn't disappoint.

Oh no **** bro! Harper live is amazing. If you went to bonnaroo last year Jack, then you should know!

Anyway, I sincerely would like everyone to consider going to a show, especially if you live in the midwest (they hit up every single state, sometimes twice).

I was thinking of going to the All Good festival, but my only incentive really is Les Claypool (****ing amazing!). I'm already seeing the Big Summer Classic at RED ROCKS and deer creek, so that should kick ass regardless if I hit up the All Good festival or not.

I haven't been to an All Good festival though, and I believe in not passing something off if I don't know anything about it....so if anyone would like to inform how nice it is (like bonnaroo?), then that would be much appreciated.

Summer 05'!

ya i guess i havent heard him live, and i defientely was not about to go see him at bonnaroo - far too many bands i loved and wanted to make sure to see. i will probably end up going to zooma anyway and im sure ill enjoy him.

and i have never been to all good yet (this is my first year ) but it will be great. it is a festival exactly on the lines of bonnaroo (there are many - im going to at least 6 this summer) except that it is much smaller, im not sure but im pretty sure it is less than 10,000 (prob 6-8) people compared to bonnaroo which has atleast like 100,000. i like the smaller festivals so much more tho although bonnaroo is a crazy experience its just ridiculously physically taxing, huge, and crazy weather. i went last year and am this year tho i would defeintely recommend all good though, one thing i especially like about it is that theres only one stage so you never have overlaps of music, compared to bonnaroo where theres like 5 stages.

I admit, bonnaroo was crazy...especailly in the rain! That was hardcore...

Anyway, point taken.

Do you guys listen to reggae? I'm looking for a good concert to go to, but I can't seem to find pure dub reggae bands touring. Burning spears out, Damian Marley already toured, Wailing Souls is playing but at one vendor only....any suggestions?

BONNAROO!!!!!!

That's tight brother.

Les Claypool should be sick. I wonder how long each set is...(like how long each player can play...not actual sets)

Thanks for the advice Jack...I'll definitely check them out if I have the time.

Also, HIT ME UP! Trust me dude, if your goign to bonnaroo or something like All Good fest...you HAVE TO (i don't know how much more I can emphasize that) hit me and my boy snakeboy up!

Nug-heads must stick together man!
