| Primus has to be the best band ive ever heard. The dissonant guitar of Larry Lalonde over the best and most creative bass lines ive ever heard, Les Claypool is the man. Tim Alexander has to be one of the most technical drummers ive listened to. Everything is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. Even their concerts are awesome, the light shows go so well with the music, and the music is flawless. Even the projects that Les Claypool has done llike Oysterhead with Trey Anastasio, and Stewart Copeland, and Sauage, which is basically the original Primus with Todd Huth and Jay Lane and is also my favorite Les Claypool project, and the Frog Brigade with the live sets and purple onion. Col. Claypool's Buckets of Bearnie Brains is an awesome cd and seems to go well in background music to whatever im doin, Buckethead is truely a master guitarist. I could listen to this all day and each song is like discovering a new band. Even trying to play Les's bass lines on my bass is a blast. These bands have has kept me in music. PRIMUS SUCKS! |

| Damn right, Primus sucks ![]() I saw them at the Bonaroo festival last summer, and my devestated little mind wasn't prepared for what they unleashed. I love listening to these guys when I'm all F'd up. "Listen to the divine sounds of - THE WHAMOLA!"

| It's a joke with the band...They say they suck, rather than rock. Like when I was at Bonaroo last year, the crowd would start chanting "Primus sucks!" during an awesome moment, as opposed to "Primus rocks." |

| Yeah, it's a joke. Claypool is technically the best bassist on the planet right now. Metallica even admitted that Claypool was too good for their band. Les Claypool in Metallica... I wonder what would have happened if Claypool would have ended up with the band instead of Burton back in the early 80's?

| I'm glad he didn't go with Metallica...For someone of Claypool's calibur (i.e. "godly"), he needs to be free to be in control and do his own thing. He needs to be free to basically lead his band and take centre stage every time. |

| yea i cant really see les claypool in metalica, i cant hear that either. thats awesome that you saw them in concert comatose, unfortunatly Primus has not come near the place where i live but i have the hallucino-genetics tour dvd and the animals should not try to act like people. The whamola jam is awesome, its just a one stringed bass that he hits witha drum stick while pulling on this tuner on the back to change how it sounds. I think the drummer from a band called fishbone laid down that track with claypool on the purple onion cd. that is a real fun cd to listen to f'ed up. |

| Claypool is NOT the best bassist in the world, he's damn good but there are many who can out play him anyday. Tony Levin (King Crimson) Victor Wooten (Bela Fleck, solo) Jaco Pastorious (Weather Report, solo) Billy Sheehan John Myung (Dream Theater) I'm not trying to say primus sucks, they're definatly one of my favorite bands, but Les Claypool gets too much praise in my opinion. |
