I bought the new Coldplay cd when it came out on tuesday and have to say i was blown out of my mind! these guys are just climbing and climbing. what a great band with great sense of music. any Coldplay fans out there? i have the live dvd too and i can't wait to see them live in august

yea bro coldplay is a favoriet of mine, but incubus is my all time favorite band, their ****ing sick and i've seen them twice

I think Coldplay's popularity represents everything that is wrong with today's music industry. They're just another group of guys who achieved fame beyond their wildests dreams because of how marketable the group is. I dream of the day when the world's most famous musicians are the world's most talented musicians.

I am not a big fan of coldplay, but c'mon u have to be joking me. I really cannot name many groups with a sound like coldplay, and with the talent of them. This is a group that will be popular for many years to come. And if u dream of a world with talented musicians then u should just go to an orchestra hall, or buy some of that music.

i've refrained from posting here coz i was worried things might turn ugly, but the beckoning of righteos vitriol is too much to bear.

the unique sound you talk of is that of a voice who's person has spent too much of its life playing with its balls. coldplay aint bad, they're mediocre...their songwriting is piss-poor though. every tune they've ever done has been 4/4 (i'm pretty sure it is every song) and the variation between verse amd chorus is nichts, as they say in germany.

its just such...dare i say easy listening, and this is where the stereotype i assosciate with coldplay fans comes from; namely earmuff headphones and wooly hats. sorry if you don't fit the description though.
