Default integrating singing with playing

i'm not a brilliant guitarist. i can use the whole neck and know some nifty scales, but seeing some mates play this weekend just ****ing blew my mind.

so anyway: i started singing and playing rhytm while my mate plucked some arpeggios and ****ed around over it. i guess the point of this post is that until the weekend i never knew i could a) sing (which i'm told i can but its hard to judge your own voice ) and b) play at the same time. it just came naturally. i was strumming mr writer with my mate picking over the top and everyone singing, and i just thought: **** it. i started blaring my little heart out and before i knew it the whole room ('cept the guitarists) dropped into stunned silence. i think it was the ot's that gave me the confidence in the first place, but ****: it felt good.

i'm thinking bright lights, bands and performance now. this summer keeps looking better and better. might have to start off just busking about though, but **** it, it'll be worth it.

That's awesome man. I have a little bit of skill on the old guitar and like to do the leads and arpeggios and stuff. I too know some scales and can play anywhere on the fretboard in any key pretty much. That, however, is the extent of my ability. I would love to be able to sing just well enough that I could sing and play at the same time.

Sadly, my voice and singing talent can be compared to that of a dog's, a dog that sings badly.

Anyway, it's great that you found this out and I'm sure you and your buddies can have lots of fun jamming from now on.

Keep rockin'
