| Anyone have a song (or a bunch of songs, like I do) that reminds them sooooo much of a time/some point in their life? If you do name one or a few of them. For me.... Blinded by the Light-Manfred Mann's Earth Band. It takes me back to a time when there was a real special guy in my life I worked with. All I wanted to do was talk to him and be with him. This was my favorite song at that point, and it reminds me so much of that time in my life... when I was working with him and burnin' with him... and when I was doing an off-topic. He's gone now... Low Rider-WAR. I just remember one night cruisin' down the highway in my buddy's sports car, blasting this song. Such a good time. There's more but I can't remember them right now.

| To this day I cannot listen to Limp Bizkit because it takes me right back to when I was 16....thinking about that time of my life just gives me a sinking feeling in my stomach...i was such an idiot All country music reminds me of my ex-girlfriend and puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day......especially the song "beer for my horses"....that song was playing when we "made love" for the first time....hearing that song is like jumping into a time machine and going back to that weird uncomfortable time....almost makes me physically sick |

| Man, I have so many. My entire life sense 6th grade has been totally fuelded by music, and therefore music reminds me of not just maybe one day events in my life but entire periods (weeks, months) in my life. Like for example... I used to hang out and skip school with this girl who was really cool. Anyway she loved like offspring back in the day and the song You Gotta Keep 'em Seperated or something like that came on the radio while we were riding around and everytime I hear it I think of those days. Then like the band Rancid reminds me of seventh grade... getting into the punk thing ... And Out Come The Wolves was the sit and I knew every song by heart. It also reminds me of when I first started smoking weed and made some of my best friends and also when I first started playing guitar. That was a very important stage in my life. There always was a deep love of classic rock that stayed current through out all my memories. Mostly bands like Zep, Floyd, Skynyrd, and the Beatles. Hell, I was arrested in new orleans for drinking in a place that no longer exists while Gimme' Back My Bullets was on the radio. First real album I ever had was Zeppelin Four so Zep reminds me of my first real band that I got into (still one of my faves). Floyd reminds me of getting high a lot, except for animals which was my dads favorite album pretty much ever... the beatles, well hell you can't dislike the beatles, can you? My musical taste has been more experimental and Jazz based lately. I'm really into the Mars Volta (At The Dirve-In, too) and Floyd right now. Also, Herbie Hancock he kicks major ass. Everything for the last year what with my getting high more often and further love and passion for the guitar have brought me to such bands. This is what I am going to do with my life. Play Music. Period. Any way, theres so many more. those are just the ones that I remembered right off the top of my stoned head. |
