I generally don't wear band shirts because I don't want to be judged for my taste of music, though I do wear a Beatle's Let it Be shirt, and a Zeppelin one. I owuld get a Rush one if any store/person/radio station in Maryland knew who they were. Because I don't think they actually exist over here. I would love ot get a Rush shirt from you.

I love wearing classic rock bands...bands that PROOVED themselves, at least to me...lol..that they can play & sing thier ass off...Besides I love messing with peoples heads that expect me to be listening to one type of music, and i got something else going...

Usually it be like: if i'm wearing a suit and tie, dress shoes the whole limit, I'll blast hard rock or C&W or rap music from my cd player or car stereo...and vice versa: Im wearing Timberlands & leather jacket and jeans, and I have clasical music & opera wailing. The looks I get are priceless, and it has the added benifit of my neighbors thinking i'm nuts, so they pretty much leave me the hell alone.

I love to do that. I live in a simi ghetto area, and sometimes I'll drive by public schools when they're all getting out and blast the local rap station to where the cars parked on the street are shaking from the bass. It’s just priceless, this hippie looking white guy with long brown hair in a car with led zeppelin and tool stickers on my back window driving slowly down the road bobbing his head to rap music... ahhhhhhhhhh

5. All Along the Watchtower - Jimi has other songs, too...way better than this dylan cover that was done better by dylan to begin with.

OK thats all I can think of...hopefully you guys will be able to ad some more...

sry if i have mentioned one of your favorite songs.....its just that these radio stations act like theres only maybe 40 songs to choose from in the 40 years that rock has been in existance.....
Rush is great man don't be hatin. Nothing gets me goin when blazed like some wild phrenetic ass Rush action.

I know this is a year-old thread...

If you don't like what's playing on the classic rock station, then change the station. Those songs are classics, hence the "Classic Rock" station.

Granted, some songs are waaaaaaay overplayed, but that doesn't make them bad.

You also have to understand that radio is changing. They're reducing playlists and taking out individual choices of the DJs and/or listeners. They're run by corporations, for the most part. There are two major ones, ClearChannel and Infinity Broadcasting, and they own the vast majority of radio stations in the U.S.

If you travel, you'll find a Jack-format, a Free-format, a Classic-Rock or Q-format station in every major city. They play the same crap over and over and over again.
That is why I have a PC in my truck with nearly 50GB of mp3s... I can listen to whatever I want.
Today I think I'll listen to a Rush bootleg. Tomorrow maybe I'll listen to Modest Mouse. Maybe over the weekend I'll put together a playlist of Richard Cheese, Guns N Roses and Hank Williams.
You get the idea.

As an aside, the Q radio format was started by KLAQ in El Paso (where I grew up) and copied mercilessly when the station became successful in a crappy little market like El Paso. Tragically, "The Q" is now another generic corporate rock station like every other.
