First off, early and even latter eminem is AMAZING. Whether you like him or not, you have to accept that his rhymes are amazing and were revolutionary at the time. I agree that many new rappers do suck, but eminem my friend, is not one of them.

I also like KMK, dark lotus, and zug island.

Eminem was "one of the best yet" until he released The Eminem Show, that and all his albums after that are putrid.

naw man, im not sure where you can download a full PUTS album. i bought all 4 of their albums over the past few years and they are all great. i would just download anything you can by them. especially acid raindrops, thats a GREAT song.

eminem is/was revolutionary?? ha! come on man, he's talented and what not, but in no way revolutionary. eric b. and rakim were revolutionary, afrikka bambaata was revolutionary, DJ Kool Herc was revolutionary, NOT eminem. and again i think he is talented and i like a few of songs (toy soldiers, mockingbird), but i cant stand all of his "gimmick" songs. the majority of his singles are absolute crap. songs like 'without me' and 'the real slim shady' make me gag...

I pretty much only listen to mainstream hip-hop. BTW, how is 50 cent and g-unit "lame ass"? I mean, usually they dont ryme about anything more than hoes, cars, money, drugs and violence but those things appeal to me.

well, in my opinion i think that they are lame because they rap about hoes, cars, money, drugs, and violence. i like to hear originality in the music i listen to and there is none there. a million guys have rapped and said the exact thing that 50 cent is saying. minimal creativity. thats cool that you like him, if it makes you happy more power to you. but i get tired of hearing how much of a pimp or gangsta every rapper is.

You are trying to compare apples and oranges though. Just because they both rap fast, doesnt mean they should be in the same genre. I think underground rap is the best because they rap about economy, politics, environment, historical figures, along with some money, hoes, and killin. I think you said it right about maintstream all rapping about the same ****. But not all mainstream is that way. I really like lil wayne because the sound of his voice. He raps about money, hoes, and violence, but he does it with some crazy lyrics and lines too. Not just "I like hot *****es that suck my dick." In the end, you will argue that some are better than others, but it is just the way you here the song that makes it good to you. I hear 50 cent and I think he sucks, but my friends think he was revolutionary.

I like some rap about that kinda stuff, like 3-6 Mafia or Big Tymers, but 50's rhymes sound like they were written by a 5 year old. He has a few good songs but they're good because of the beats, in my opinion he is the lyrical equivalent of John Denver. If you really want to crack yourself up, just read some of his lyrics out loud in a normal voice. It blows my mind that he's famous worldwide and nobody's ever heard of PUTS or Atmosphere.
