| the first band i fell in love with was rage, and it's still hard for me to say that there's been a better band in the last 20 years. i think their music was much more memorable and invigorating than anything audioslave will ever be able to come up with. i like that cornell is their vocalist, but the instrumentals just aren't as exciting as they were with rage. morello is still the best guitarist in music , but they just don't have the same beat. i'm gonna be raging against the pretty hate machine until the day i die either way ![]()

| I never cared for Zach De La Rocha if I spelled that right. Tom Morello has stuck with what works.. and to me the guitars are almost the same on audioslave albums as RATM albums. Slowed down a bit for the verses but very much the same. Cornell.. meh. There are of course good soundgarden songs and a few audioslave ones too but hir voice starts to wear on me after an extended period of time. I guess, I like listening to a song here and there but I didn't really enjoy "Out of Exile" when I listened to it in its entirety.

| No comparison....Audioslave, IMO, is at best "average" while RATM's first album will always be one of my favorite albums ever.

| I dont really know... Rages shit is really good, but it sounds so damned repetitive to me. Like the shit playing over and over, and the words in a diffrent order. Anyways, the only song I like from audioslave is "Like a Stone". The rest of it can go to hell. |

| Audioslave will never be able to compare to RATM. If for only one reason, RATM was founded on getting a political message across and their passion was WAY more apparent. |
