I think 36 is one of the best (if not the best) rap group. They aren't lyricists but if you have to point that out- why do you include Luda in your top 5?

Tupac and Notorios B.I.G will always remain the same in my book, both have phenominal skills.
Then comes Eminem (most of his earlier songs, although some of the newer ones have some emotion), Masta Ace, Dead Prez, Canibus, and Jay-Z.

Funny how it's usually the rappers who never "make it big" who have the most quality. The rappers who go for the money, rather than music, loose all the emotion in their music. The emotion is what makes the music great in the first place - once that's gone the music just turns into a beat with words.
