| The Mars Volta are great... saw them in concert in Seattle, very cool  .But I don't think they fit into this kind of music, lol. They are much more experimental pyschadelic music, than power metal.

| I've seen them categorized as prog metal a few times. If you go to www.allmusic.com and look up The Mars Volta all the "similar artists" are power metal. |

| Lately, i've been listening to a lot of Dragonforce, Rhapsody (even though they haven't been classified as power metal, but more "Hollywood Metal", they're pretty close though), and Iron Maiden. \m/ |
