So my band is desperatley trying to come up with a good band name, but have utterly failed. We are a jam/classic rock band, with a jazzy yet still rock and roll type of sound. Most of our songs consist of 12 minutes jams that just seem to flow. Our influences are Phish, Dispatch, Allman Bros Band, Clapton, The Who, Bob Dylan, and a little bit of Bob Marley. The band consists of me(drums) my friend(lead guitar), my other friend(guitar), and my other friends(keyboard and bass). We are a young band but plan to play some gigs this summer. So what do you guys think about names?

A band name should have meaning! You and your whole band should get super stoned and start throwing out ideas until someone says the one everyone agrees upon.

Why do you need a name so desperatly? You should wait until the right name comes to you. Just keep on makin music....

good point. its just we need a name to eventually advertise ourselves. its hard to get a gig with a name like the "nobodies". haha.

Yup, I went into a bathroom and instead of paper towels they had a rag to dry your hands on. Then this hippy I was with was like "whoa, it's a community rag" when I told him about it. He also happened to be my guitar intructor for a few weeks till I quit. Fuckin hate people tellin me what to do.
