Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head, Local 4 reported. The name of the second victim was not released.

The rapper is a long-time friend of rap star Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers. Proof appeared in Eminem's movie "Eight Mile" as Lil' Tic, the station learned.

Police are searching for a gunman. A description was not available.

A witness was being questioned by police.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Call me insensitive but this is exactly what I said when I saw the headline on www.detroitnews.com..."Who the hell cares if a rapper gets shot, he brought it on himself."

I don't listen to D12 or any other c'rap. All that music does is perpetuate ignorance and re-enforce stereotypes, especially in suburban white youth. I don't need to check but I'm sure they're the largest demographic for that kind of shitty meaningless music.

99.9999999% of rappers talk about how bad ass they are and how they kill at least 40 people every day with their "glock nines back before I got mine shootin holes in the neighborhood stop signs." This guy brought this on himself.

He built an ideal image of himself through his music. He probably was shot for the same reason John Lennon was...someone wanted to be recognized as the person to kill the idol.

Put down the c'rap and listen to hip hop. Listen to people who finished high school talk about the world...they know a shitload more.
