Anyone heard of this band? Quite impressive, especially their early stuff. The new album is amazing too titled "Alaska". If you like heavy music and have an open mind check em out.

Wow! I am really surprised to come across a thread about these guys. If you are into any extreme metal, definately check these guys out. I find most metal bands coming out today sound generic and uninspired. When I heard Alaska it was like a breath of fresh air. If you like this style of music, go for it. If you don't, dont even bother haha.

these guys are ok, their not a band that i would listen to every day tho, like the other guy said it didnt really catch me. i think theirs one song i really like but its really different and slow from the rest of their music..... never mind that slow song i was talking about was from Bleeding Through - Line in the sand (but like i said this song is different from the rest)

I love BTBAM very dearly. I've seen them live 5 times and they're pretty grand. The new album is great but, their self titled release is still my favorite. It's hit or miss with most people but, if you can appreciate the musicianship (especially Paul's work on the guitar) then I think you'll enjoy it.

Paul's guitar work is sublime. BTBAM isn't all about insanely heavy riffs though, Alaska is a bit different from their first couple albums. Check out the single "Mordecai" and you'll hear the diversity about half way through the song. They are one of those bands that musicians really appreciate but others don't quite get it.

You definitely don't wanna forget "Ad A Dglgmut" from the same album or "Shevanel Cut A Flip" from their self titled release.

Hell, listening to "Shevanel Part 2" you'd think you were listening to a different band.

Im a huge metalhead, but I could never get into these guys. On a positive note though, the intro to the song Alaska is pretty mindblowing.
