Ok, lets get some opinions on this guy. I have been in such an in depth argument about this guy 100000 times. I think he doesnt have a flow worth shit, his lyrics CAN be decent at times, but name a rapper who hasnt said a great line. And when he does make a coherent similie or metaphor, he acts like hes the first to do it. He has a COUPLE good beats, but most are completely candyass. But by no means can I consider him a great rapper. He should be a poet more than a rapper. All he does is talk his lyrics. He brings beef to the game (i.e. Jay-Z) only because his music doesnt get enough attention as it is. He should NEVER and I restate NEVER be compared to Jay-Z. Name one thing that he has done better or remotely close. In summary, I give him a big

Cam is nice. I really dont know where you have been. Have u heard "Suck It Or Not", or even "Purple Haze". Cam'ron also owns his own record label (Diplomat Records) and a liquor company called Purple Sizzurp. Just because he dissed Jay-z doesn't make Cam garbage. Personally I think Jigga is over rated but thats just me. Plus Cam is about to put his movie "Killa Season" in a couple of days. I'm from NY and I can tell you for sure more people like Cam than Jay-z. Cam's movement is just too strong.

I said rapper, not liquor extrodanaire! And the Jay-Z thing has nothing to do with how I think he raps. That was just an extra point that Im making to suggest how his music doesnt bring him the attention he wants. This is the kind of response I was expecting though, so Im happy to debate. You say Cam's movement is too strong, well I realize that he has grabbed the attention of his fans, but still that has nothing to do with how he raps. Well 50 cent has had one of the biggest "movements" in the hiphop industry, but as many (and hopefully you too) agree, he sucks at rapping. Not once did you mention his rapping skills, even though I assume you like it quite well. But it seems to me that everyone always talks about how he has Diplomat, how he is up and coming, and how he is controversial. Notice anything? Nobody ever talks about how he raps! I think a lot of people (not saying you specifically) are just jumping on the bandwagon because he is good at basketball, or is being interviewed on talkshows. Im in it for the music, and music is not what he has brought to me.

Well your right about the first part. I don't think anyone would compare Cam to Jigga. There flows are not the same thats 1, and Cam to me at least spits some real shit that I can relate 2 and a whole lotta' people that knows wat he is talkin about. Like this line, "Quoted by some, noticed by none. Only magazine I care about go wit my gun". I mean that line was fire. And u did say name 1 thing he has done better or remotely close so I did. You shoulda just been more specific. Im not on Cam's ***k or anything but saying that his flow aint worth shit, ur wildin homie.

I think Cam suffers from a problem that a lot of rappers run into...poor production. I don't think he's all that great, but he's marketable...and that's what record companies like.

If you want to hear three good Cam joints, check out Down and Out featuring Kanye West & Syleena Johnson, Dip-Set Forever, and Dead or Alive. The first two were on Purple Haze. Dead or Alive was on Come Home With Me.

Back to my original point. Kanye West produced those three tracks for Cam. Kanye is no doubt the hottest rapper/producer in hip hop today. Not to get off subject, but when you really get into 'hearing' the music, you'll agree that Kanye's production skills can't be topped. When you hear those three joints, you'll know what I mean. They are catchy and make you wanna bounce your head. Poor production this is not.

You obviously know very little about Killa. He owns his own damn record label- Diplomat Records... According to the Source, he's one of the richest rappers thanks to the mixtape game as well as being the CEO of his record label.

Poor production? WTF are you listening to? Listen to I'll See You In My Dreams, Love My Life, Harlem Streets and tell me Cam has poor production. He has some of the sickest production in the entire game.
