I think Lil Wayne has always been good, but until recently (Carter II) he had the shittiest production ever. So we're just now starting to hear the best of Weezy IMO.

Not so much the shittiest production, but just a different style. He was obviously more cash, pushin weight, gettin ladies with a Mannie Fresh or Birdman production. I really like his old stuff, especially The Carter, but you are right about him being 10000 times better. He really just matured and stepped his game up with The Carter II.

i hate lil wayne so much. i heard a song the other day, that was about something, im not really sure, but it was pretty new, and i was disgusted, both be the "lines" he was "rapping," but also by his persona. i want to hit him in the mouth.

I have matured so much into the hiphop culture, I finally came to the conclusion that I CANT choose a favorite rapper, or best rapper.
