One of the greatest? I think so. Illmatic and Stillmatic are dope as they come. Probably one of the most insightful rappers- Obviously doesn't dig guests on his tracks because he know he can carry all the weight himself.

If anybody for some reason doubts Nas listen to NY State of Mind. If you have Windows Media Player play that song at .8 speed... it's so tight high.

Paul Wall can't hold Nas's jock. If you like lyrics at all then Nas is where it is at. I am not saying I don't like Paul Wall, some of his stuff is pretty good but he doesn't compare with Nas.
