so, if you missed our last program, it was a whopper.

people were talking about rap and all that it entails.
i ended up posting about who i like originally about who i liked, but the post ended with some all-caps action that jabbed at republicans and my opinion of stupid people. oh yeah and kanye. there was a scuffle, but it eventually was dropped until about a week ago.
under constant attack from all sides, i struggled to keep myself afloat, offending many more people than i meant to ( i was really only aiming at one or two).
it was all fun and games until the threats started and and the thread was closed.

anyway, i thought id kick off this new thread with a little apology.
sorry for the insane amount of trouble i caused and for getting the thread closed, but i was just doing what i thought i needed to in order to preserve what i like. but my bad, went too far.

so, to really start the thread, ill bring up a little tale about last night when there was a talent show at school. i had a few buds peforming, so i went for moral support. we smoked a fat blunt before and it was really fun. i was worried that it was just going to be embarrasing for them, especially because they were rapping, and ive noticed that people care more when "garage rap" is shitty than they do with garage bands. but everyone did really well. look on the horizon, you might see "moonjob" and "the clap" on the up and up.

anyone have friends who rap or do it themselves?

I dont but there is a new rap group coming up they are called 812 Dirty Squad. Some white punk kids rapping but they are very impressive their whole cd is up for download on myspace.

As far as new and up-and-rising...I know I may be a little biased, but One Session (tristate, cringe, minus-one) "Family Ties" CD is really off the hook. I'm glad to see SuburbanNoize sign a more "legitimate" sounding crew...these guys seriously represent.

The production is good, with DJ Bobby B spinnin'. I'd have to say after having some funk flex cd's in the past and hearing bobby b...bobby b is almost better in some technical respects than flex.

Maybe my relationship with sensicality has gone too far, but what was the point of closing the last thread? I fail to see one reason. There's a new thread, for the exact same purpose, where the exact same debates and insults can continue (but won't *shakes fist*). Why not keep the old thread open?

I thought MEMBERS who flamed were to be banned, not the THREADS. You guys shouldn't take it out on the thread, it's inanimate, it didn't do anything wrong, and if it did, it's not aware, seeing as how it is not conscious.

So, please, mods, use your friendly powers on members and stop taking your impatience out on the poor, innocent, threads.

Like there's a new rap thread now, so why not just merge the two and still have the old one, and mods can entertain themselves by dealing with members that break the rules.

Now, we have more clutter, more closed threads, redundant threads, and yet you guys still presented us with the same opportunity to do the same flaming in the exact same setting in an identical thread.

Again, I suppose me and sensicality go WAAY BACK, so I won't be upset if you don't understand my logic

Well it wasn't really re-opened, someone just started a new one with the same premise. . .

I have no idea/interest in why the other one got closed. I just want to share what I think is "GOOD" and "THOUGHTFULL" rap/hip-hop. *shrug* Sorry I don't have any "beef" with anyone. LOL

I never said re-opened. But the rap thread got closed, and then plains said to go create as many as we want but the first flamer (haha) will be banned.

OK, but why not just do that with the original. Whats the point of one closed thread, one open one. Why not just one big open one with all the flames removed and members dealt with. I am referring here to the other rap thread, but the same thing applies to this one. Ten pages got close, now there's this thread. Why couldn't this thread just be added on to the other one?

That thread was warned on multiple occaisons to keep the flaming out. Once one person starts flaming a thread it can deteriorate, and it did. This is a clean slate for the thread. As long as this thread sticks to music and people follow the rules we won't have any reason to close it. If every time I come into THIS thread I see flames I assure you this one will be closed too. I enjoy:

thats EXACTLY why i did it.
i, and of course everyone who participated in the last three or four pages of the original thread know why it closed.
but, i felt bad because it was my fault and started another one in hopes that the same stuff could be disscussed, well by "same" i mean what happened BEFORE the last three or four pages.
theres no reason for this one to close as long as some asshole doesnt come along and begins to flame people
