| im doing a project in my history class and ive decided that the topic is going to be something along the lines of how the beatles used drugs, and how this affected the publics opinions of the drugs they use. if anyone knows some good sites or just has some info, it would really help. thanks.

| Lucy was obvious about acid. The picture that his son drew is true, but still, John put acid references in every line... Across the Universe is a really beautful song about acid, though it can also be about weed. Got to Get You into my life is about weed Come Together has a lot of drug references, spinal cracker, holy roller etc Paul McCartney's verse in A Day in the Life ends with "Somebody spoke and I went into a dream" and people think he is referencing to an acid flashback. That's just off the top of my head. The Beatles kick a lot of ass.

| hadn't put out an album in three year's, since 1966. But in those three year's they had been in the public eye, because of their fame. Also at this time, the country was discovering recreational drugs, and the Beatles weren't immune. Idol worship caused alot of fans to turn on I suppose. Then, Sgt. Pepper's. It really was a big change in music direction. After three years, every one was saying that maybe they were thru, the Beatles had lost it, and then here came Sgt. Pepper's, and it changed music forever... Music , especially lyrics, can effect dialect in language, and they did with some of the lyrics from that album. Master's of lyric and tune. Good topic. Some Where In Ded Land.......coo coo ca choo ![]()
