Primus has been my favorite band since highschool.

I can't believe I never made a thread about this, and all three of you are getting mad k+.

Les Claypool is a god. I went to shows on both the Tour de Fromage, and Hallucino-genetics. I'm hoping against all hope that I can make it to the Austin show on Nov. 1rst, but that's yet to be seen. Definately will be buying the new DVD and Cd though!!

I thought I was gonna have to hit him upside the cranium with an alluminum baseball bat. I loved their music vids. Haven't listend to them in years though. How's their new stuff compare to Pork Soda and Sailing the Seas

Pork Soda will always be the best IMO ... but their new stuff is really good too...its everything you've come to expect out of Primus, for sure. Anyway I haven't got a chance to see Primus yet so it should be sweet. I did see Oysterhead at Bonnaroo though

Primus sucks!

Man, I knew this wasn't going to be a bashing thread- only a true primus fan would know that use to be their slogan, often chanted at their shows.

Les Claypool is an amazing artist. I love his new solo cd, Of Whales and Woe, he proves once again he is the master of bass guitar. I also picked up his new DVD, 5 Gallons of Diesel, which is totally awesome.

I heard they were making a new cd set to be released in 2007 or so. Wow, I can't wait to hear some new Primus!

Personally, Frizzle Fry is their greatest achievement. I can sing the entire album from memory, along with humming the bassline.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was afraid I was going to have to point this out to everybody...so anyway I assume you'll be checkin them out on the tour--where at? Also, have you read Les' book, South of the Pumphouse ??? If so, how is it??? I haven't got the chance myself.

Oh and btw, you definetly get k+ for that as soon as i figure out how to do it LOL...

Primus new CD and DVD out on Oct 17!!!! They're also going on tour starting november.~~
