| Are there any fans of this genre of music? Some examples of well known post-rock bands would be Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Most of these bands are primarily instrumental, using complex layers to create vast soundscapes and melodies. I have been listening to a lot of bands I had never heard of before and would like to share some of the ones that stood out. The Samuel Jackson Five - this stuff is absolutely brilliant. This band is from Norway and brings a funk, blues and jazz element to the post-rock genre. Easily one of my new favorites. Yndi Halda - A British band whose Icelandic name translates to Enjoy Eternal Bliss, which is also the title of their new album. Saxon Shore Feel free to share your opinions and any others that you feel should be mentioned.

Anybody? Is it that hard to take 10-15 mintes to have a listen? Or are people just afraid of something they haven't heard of?

I really like god speed you! black emperor but I have only listened to F# A# (infinity) so any other album recomendations or band recomendations would be cool. "The cars on fire and there's no driver at the wheel, and the sewers are all muddy with a thousand lonley suicides, and a dark wind blows, the government is corrupt, and and were all so many drunks with the radio on, and the curtens drawn, we're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death" Great ominous lyrics with the spectacular music makes for a great mix with certain phsycidelic off topics or on its own.

I enjoy Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky quite a bit, but I haven't given them a listen in a while.

I just bought the new Red Sparowes album earlier this week. It's good to know I'm not the only one into this kind of music. ![]()
