Default songs with memories attatched to them

What songs/artists do you have an emotional attatchment to? Could be anything. Good, bad, whatever.

Or if its just a songartist that you associate something to, what is it?

I have a few:

The Mars Volta --- listened to them when i was depressed a year and a half ago. (which really sucks cuz i like them, but it brings back negative vibes. So I cant listen to them a whole lot)

Muse Same as above

Goldfinger-Superman Smoked for the first time to this song (was a cigar)

Red Hot Chili Peppers-Californication First girlfriend ever; this was our song. Nothing to do with sex. I just think about her when i hear it, and she associated me with this song as well. No particular reason why we think of eachother when it plays. Broke up a long time ago, still good friends, but its cool to remember her with the song.

Led Zeppelin Just plain old possitive vibes with this one. Im always happy with this playing.

Bob Marley Take a guess hahahah!!!! If im straight, and i hear a song by him, i get a craving for some Mary J

Lemme think.....hmmmm....this might be embarrasing we'll see.....

That Free Willy song by Michael Jackson used to put me to sleep as a little kid. My sister would put it on the tape player and I'd fall asleep within a minute......yikes..

Anthem for the Year 2000 by Silverchair brings me back to high school....angry teen I suppose....

We Be Burning by Sean Paul makes me HAVE to smoke weed....

Good thread!

I can't really think of any, besides the fact that when a song really blows my mind while high, I never really like it that much again when sober.

Pink Floyd-the most important, this band means so much to me it reminds me of my dad who i dont see. when i saw them playing together at live 8 i cried. the great gig in the sky reminds me of my friend that just got diagnosed with bone cancer we both love that song. every single song on the dark side of the moon reminds me of smoking pot in high school and the people and the memories from that time. pink floyd means so much to me and its just a very small bonus that their music is trippy.

Bjork-her music is amazing and very weird and interesting it makes me think about weird things and the music just takes my mind on an adventure very soothing and trippy as well ive been downloading her music like a mothafucka reminds me of all the times ive fought with my mom and listened to bjork and everything was ok for me

Bob Marley-his music truly is moving and has much more meaning behind it then smoking pot. i would think that if bob marley was alive today he would be angry at the image he has become he just wanted the world to be a happier place while he was here. his lyrics are very ingenious when it comes to double meanings and passive protesting BOB MARLEY LOVE FOR LIFE MARGAUX!

many bands have meant something to me at one point or another but these are the most importatnt ones to me right now

Anytime I hear Dark side of the Moon I get a huge craving for bud same thing with wish you were here and pretty much any Pink Floyd song. Marley instantly makes me feel better as well as Beck. I think the biggest attachment I have to any songs would have to be Christmas songs though. Thats the hardest thing about getting off weed is that when you've smoked it for awhile you get connected to everything on it so whenever you here Floyd or drive by 7-11 or watch the history channel you wanna get high
